The Amazing Beef Squad

Thomas Burden for Random House NYC

I was commissioned by Random House in NYC to illustrate the cover of Jason Ross’ middle grade novel, ‘The Amazing Beef Squad: Never Say Die!’. The book detailed the exploits of a group of middle school friends and they wanted the cover to convey the same feeling of youthful hi-jinx along with notable elements from the plot.

As with all book cover projects, I worked up a few sketches/concepts and luckily they chose my favourite one.
